San Bernardino Street Race Ends In Head-On Collision Killing 1 & Injuring Others

A young man is now dead, and three others are injured after a race with his brother ended in a fatal car accident in San Bernardino Wednesday night. San Bernardino Police stated that two brothers were allegedly racing a 1992 Mitsubishi GT on Highland Avenue when the driver lost control and crashed head-on with a 2011 Toyota Corolla.

The driver of the Mitsubishi was later identified by the county coroner as 19-year-old Mark Jimenez of San Bernardino.  Officials stated that Jimenez was killed on impact, but his brother not a single injury from the accident.  Three other occupying the Mitsubishi were transported to a local medical center where they were treated for injuries sustained in the accident.
