Volunteer!
There are many ways to volunteer for the Town of Estes Park.
Our
volunteers are dedicated to making the town a better place to live.
The Estes Park Museum
The Estes Park Museum,
located at 200 4th Street, collects, interprets and
preserves local history, as well as presenting exhibits, programs
and events, for the education and benefit of residents and visitors
of all ages. We are currently accepting applications for
volunteers at the Front Desk, in
Collections,
Exhibits,
Special Events, Office Workers, and
Docents. Please download a volunteer
application or contact us
for more information.
The Estes Senior Center
The Estes Park Senior Center, located at 220 4th Street, uses
volunteers in a variety of capacities. Current volunteer
opportunities are for members of the
Board of
Directors, the Newsletter Team, Front Desk/ Reception Volunteers,
the Heritage Garden Crew, Meals on Wheels Drivers and Coordinators,
Home Visitation Volunteers, Hospitality Hosts and Hostesses, and on
the Fundraising Event Teams. Job descriptions and applications are
coming soon! In the mean time, if you are interested in volunteering
at the Senior Center, please
contact Nancy Matson.
The Estes Park
Senior Center has immediate opportunities available for Reception
Desk Volunteers. Reception Desk Volunteers are the key to creating
a warm and helpful environment and duties include greeting and
welcoming people, answering the telephone for information and
referral, and handling lunch reservations. The volunteer shift is
9:00 am to 1:30 pm weekdays. Reception Desk Volunteers receive a
free lunch during their shift and also receive training and ongoing
support and recognition. This position is available immediately for
a regular Wednesday volunteer and there is also a need for on–call
Reception Desk substitutes on various weekdays at the same hours.
Call Lori Mitchell, Director or Nancy Matson, Program Coordinator
at 586-2996 for more information on how to join the Senior Center
volunteer team.
Special
Events
Volunteer
opportunities are available in many capacities, ranging from
serving as ambassadors for the department during events at
Performance Park & Riverside Plaza, to selling tickets at the
Rooftop Rodeo or acting as a “Sherpa” for Wool Market
participants. If you like horses, there are a multitude of ways
you can help during horse shows, from answering phone calls to
selling feed and answering questions from out-of-town
equestrians. People can call 970-586-6104 for more information,
or e-mail us at
events@estes.org. Check out the
Special Events
page for more information.
