The pole inspection program is designed as a maintenance system to track the condition of wooden utility poles for employee safety, liability, and future planning purposes.

The first phase of this program – the Fall River Circuit – began in spring, 2008 and by June 6, Power Pole Inspection Company, a privately-contracted firm, has inspected 692 poles.

Credit at 1kW to 1kW will be issued for excess energy generated at a customer's site through the use of an approved Customer Generator System (CG System), through the town's new Agreement for Interconnection and Parallel Operation of Small CG System.

This agreement will allow customers who - through solar, wind or other approved renewable energy system - create more energy than they need to feed that excess back through the grid and be credited for it.
