UTILITY POLE INSPECTION AND TREATMENT

Establishing system wide pole integrity and treatment processes. 

The present service area is approximately 280 square miles and includes approximately 14,000 poles ranging in size from 25 to 60 feet. The terrain is rugged, wooded, and mountainous. System voltage is 7200/12,470.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

  1. Pole testing and subsequent treatment if necessary.
  1. Develop an electronic database that is ACCESS compatible.
  1. Electronic database that includes all pole information such as class, type, size, etc. along with joint use and code violation information.
  1. An electronic prioritized list for all needed repairs & replacements.
  1.  Develop a numbering scheme with heavy duty stainless or brass numbering tags.
  1. Map pole locations and put in ESRI shape file format coordinate system (NAD 1983 State Plane HARN).

Project design will continue in 20078.  Underground utility relocation is an issue with this project.
