The Estes Park Police Department provides service to the
Town of Estes Park and the surrounding Estes valley. The current
population of Estes Park is estimated at 5,413 with a total
valley estimate of 10,000 people.
Each patrol officer patrols the town limits of Estes Park but
is also assigned to a neighborhood zone (area) in which they are
responsible for assisting those people in the neighborhood with
ongoing quality of life issues, those are issues other than
emergencies and daily calls for service. The officer sets
up neighborhood meetings and coordinates with other departments
to establish good working relationships and fostering remedies
to ongoing problems. A map of the

Police Officers work several special event throughout the
year to include all parades and festivals. They have the
ability to work on bike, or Segway.
The Patrol division consists of one Commander, two Sergeants;
and thirteen patrol Officers. Police services are accessible
twenty-four hours a day, seven days per week by calling dispatch
at 970-586-4000 (for non-emergencies) and
911 for emergencies.
The Police Department provides assistance to the Larimer
County Sheriff's Department, Colorado State Patrol, Colorado
Division of Wildlife and Rocky Mountain National Park as
requested by each agency.
Estes Park Police Department is proud to support the seat
belt enforcement campaign, sponsored by the Colorado Department
of Transportation and the Always Buckle Up Children
campaign, sponsored by the
National Transportation and Safety Administration.
Seasonal Community Service officers provide a presence in the
downtown area and provide assistance to business owners and
visitors alike
