Fee Schedule for reports and transcribed tapes:

Please note that the Estes Park Police Department does not fax copies of reports.

Report Copies on file (current + 2 years)    

$10.00 - 10 pages or less (.50 cents per page after 10 pages) No Charge for Victims listed on report
Report Copies from microfilm (older then 3 years): $10.00 each
Special Report Search Fee (for searches that take over 1 hour) $20.00 in addition to other applicable report copy fees.

Local Background Checks: 

$10.00 each

Transcribed Dispatch Tapes:

$25.00 / per hour
Certified Transcribed Dispatch Tapes $35.00 / per hour

Special Searches: 

$20.00
Fingerprints - No charge to Estes Park residents with proof of residency (photo ID - with address) $10.00
Portable Breath Tests $5.00 / each occurrence
Copies of Registered Sex Offender list $2.00 / per page

Records service personnel are responsible for the maintenance, distribution, and retention of all police reports and for the collection of statistical data for the Estes Park Police Department.

To obtain a copy of a police report you may come in person to the Estes Park Police Department lobby located at 170 Macgregor Ave.  It is advisable to call first at 970-586-4465 to confirm that the report you seek is available. Most reports are available to the public within 72 hours of the event, depending upon the status of the case.  Some reports are not eligible for release until approved by the investigations unit and/or the District Attorney's Office.

To receive a copy of a report by mail, please call our records division to obtain a release form.  Once you have completed the form, we can begin to process your request.  You will need to make your check payable to the Town of Estes Park; specify which report you would like by report number, date of incident, type of incident, and include name's of persons involved in the report. Mail your form, check and the information you are requesting, along with a self addressed stamped envelope to:

Registered Sex Offender List -

Estes Park Police Department maintains the registered sex offender list for those people who reside within the Town limits of Estes Park.  Individuals living outside of the Town limits must register with Larimer County Sheriff's Office in Ft. Collins.
