Fees and Permit Issuance
Once the permit application and
all related documents have been approved,
the applicant will need to pay all building permit fees at the Town Hall Finance
and Utilities window, Room 160. It is also the applicant's
responsibility to ensure that permits for building service equipment have
been properly obtained, prior to permit issuance.
The Building Permit Inspection Card shall be
posted at the construction site and readily visible from the public
street or road. The Town inspector's copy of approved plans shall also remain at
the job site and be available
for all inspections.
Permit Expiration:
Every permit issued by the Building Department,
under the provisions of the technical codes, will expire by limitation and become
null and void if the building or work authorized by such permit is not
commenced within
180 days from the date of issuance, or if work is suspended or
abandoned for a period of 180 days. Extension,
not to exceed 180 days, will be
granted when the permit-holder can show circumstances beyond their control
has
prevented action being taken. Additional fees may be required if permits have
expired.
Suspension or Revocation:
The Building Official may, in writing,
suspend or revoke a permit when the permit is issued in error or on the
basis of
incorrect information supplied, or in violation of an ordinance or regulation or
provisions of the codes.
Fees:
Fees for plan review and permits will be assessed in accordance
with Building Code fee schedules adopted
by the Town of Estes Park.
