You can create a living legacy that will stand
for generations by purchasing a tree to be planted at the new
arboretum or other public site.
Many Legacy Trees are purchased as a memorial to
a friend or family member who has passed away. Visiting these
trees over the years as they grow and mature can give solace and
an opportunity to remember those who have passed on.
Other trees are planted as gifts. Imagine the
pleasure a birthday gift of a living tree would give a
six-year-old and the continued pleasure that tree will give when
that youngster turns sixty!
Plant a tree to mark the birth of grandchild or
that special wedding anniversary. The gift of a living tree can
be especially meaningful to a parent or grandparent when it
comes from the family.
A living tree is a gift that truly keeps on
giving ... for generations.
Legacy Trees are recognized on a brass plaque in
the Town Hall. Those donated to the new arboretum at the visitor
center will be recognized in a similar fashion in that building.
