The Town of Estes Park is accepting applications for Summer Employment.  Applicants must have a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Convention & Visitor Bureau Specialists (2):  (Job description) 20 hours per week March 1-Nov. 30 requires all the above requirements plus a solid knowledge of word processing, excel, internet and email programs.  Assists in organization of annual EP business tours, maintain supplies, retail inventory, brochures, cash management.  The closing date for these positions is Feb 10, 2010 at 5:00 PM.

Community Service Officer (4):  This position (Job description) can be used as an internship and requires the ability to be on your feet for long periods of time. Perform foot patrol, and / or bicycle patrol in the downtown core area.  The duties and responsibilities of the Community Service Officer includes being an ambassador for the Town of Estes Park and the Estes Park Police Department, parking enforcement, traffic direction, minor criminal and accident investigations, lost and found reports and other duties as assigned.  The candidate must successfully complete an oral board interview, Chief’s interview and a background investigation.  Applicant must be a minimum of 18 years of age.  Hiring wage fixed at $11.25 per hour with no applicable bonuses.  The closing date for these positions is April 2, 2010 at 5:00 PM.

Street/Parks Department:  (Job description) Duties may include planting, weeding, general parks clean-up, mowing, irrigation maintenance, general street maintenance, asphalt and curb repair, drainage and sign repair.  Must be able to perform manual labor in all weather conditions and be willing to work weekends.

Fleet Department:  (Job description) Duties may include assisting in repair/maintenance on fleet equipment, oil changes, lubrications, small equipment repairs, use of shop safety equipment, operation of light and medium motorized equipment.

Special Events/Fairgrounds Department: (Job description) This position requires the ability to perform a variety of unskilled, semi-skilled and some skilled construction, janitorial, maintenance and repair work, hay delivery and dusty stall cleanup. Applicant must be free of allergies to hay and grass, and be willing to work weekends and flexible hours.

Convention & Visitor Bureau Assistants:  (Job description) Applicants must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which will include evenings and weekends and have a strong knowledge of the Estes Park area and RMNP. Duties will include, but are not limited to: handling telephone inquiries, assisting walk-in visitors, retail sales, re-stocking materials. Candidates must enjoy working with the public; possess excellent customer service and telephone skills, basic computer knowledge, and a friendly, cooperative spirit. Positions will start in April to early May and continue into mid-October and possibly beyond.  Two different seasonal positions will be considered: 20 hours per week and 40 hours per week.  Please note which position you are applying for.
