Temporary Use Permits
Temporary uses and temporary structures within the Estes Valley
require review and approval through the Community Development Department.
Examples include food vending carts, temporary outdoor retail vending, temporary
construction trailers, and temporary real estate offices. A planner
will review the application for compliance with the Estes
Valley Development Code, including verifying that the proposed use is
allowed in the zoning district, sufficient parking is available, bathroom
facilities are provided for employees, impacts to adjacent property owners are
minimized, and so forth.
Temporary use permits can be issued for one consecutive
thirty-day period in a calendar year. In some cases, these permits can be
extended for an additional thirty days. Additional permits, such as building
permits for temporary structures, sign permits, or permits from the Larimer
County Department of Health and Environment for food vending, may be required.
